Field Service Engineer

Job Description:

The Service Technician is the interface between our customers and the manufacturer, and is responsible for the installation, commissioning, training, maintenance, and repairs of our products to maintain operational efficiency and high levels of customer satisfaction. The job is fast paced, and requires a dedication to the precision of its requirements. The companies we represent utilize leading edge technology employing the latest in control and drive systems. There is growth opportunity for the right person, and we are willing to train those with the right base level of credentials.

Job Requirements:

• Regional travel and some international travel required.
• Computer background, both PC and industrial controls.
• Understanding of PLCs and their related applications.
• Ability to read, understand, and draft electrical schematics, blue prints and assembly drawings.
• Clear understanding of mechanical, electro-mechanical, servo-electric, electrical, and hydraulic control devices.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems from issue description, through schematics to diagnosis and repair.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Clear, precise, and timely report generation.
• Must be able to work independently, determine steps needed to complete the task given, and accomplish same.
• Must be capable of lifting loads from 1 -- 50 lbs, and to travel with tools.
• Previous experience in machine tool industry an absolute plus.
• Ability to use CAD systems a plus.

Must be able to work in the U.S., travel internationally, have or be able to obtain a valid passport, and have a current driver's license. Background and reference checks will be done prior to employment. Other testing for competency will be part of the interview process.

Evolution – Hybrid Press Brake

Ermak’s newest addition to its press brakes line will also set a new benchmark in the fabrication industry. Completely developed in-house by Ermak’s  R&D team, this hybrid press brake features a patented servo-drive system for ram movement with speeds of 475 IPM,  60% less electricity consumption compared to a conventional hydraulic press brake and nearly zero dB sound levels. Evolution is the most environmental-friendly press brake on the market guaranteeing the quickest return of investment at the same time.

Ermak Laser Angle Measurement system

Another innovative solution from Ermak with cooperation of Lasersafe is the IMG100 Laser angle measurement system, completely integrated in Ermak’s revolutionary ER90 CNC controller. Using Lasersafe’s proven safety laser system, angle of the profile is measured real-time during bending and any correction required is applied automatically by ER90 CNC for the next cycle.

This system ensures that our customers can access an affordable laser angle measurement system and can enjoy a “part-no-scrap” production.

Ermak will also present one of the strongest CNC controllers available on the market, the ER90.

ER90 boasts a 17” touch screen and 60 gigabyte storage on board and features unmatched functionalities like “on board DXF-to-part program”, “DXF tooling import” and production reporting. Remote Support and intuitive help screens make this CNC powerful yet easy to operate!
