The Schröder MAK II and III Series

Ever wish you could build your own folder, exactly matched to your production requirements, with only the features you want, and end up with a price tag that didn’t break the bank?

Schröder says: Then “MAK” it yourself!

The Schröder MAK Series is the perfect “do-it-yourself” folding system that can be as simple or as complex as you wish; as light duty (2 hours a day) to heavy duty (18 hours a day) as you need. It has a virtually unlimited number of options in both length and thickness capabilities, and in the type and scope of its controls, backgauges, tooling…
You Name It!

The MAK series has a system to provide you with all the benefits of precision folding, without purchasing a system overblown to the application. In essence, this is the base of folding, perfectly suited to attack a general manufacturing environment, eliminating useless “bells and whistles,” which drive up costs and don’t contribute to your bottom line.

And, the Schröder MAK’s come in two basic groupings:

The MAKII: Heavier roofing capacities, but works well in signage and light architectural.

The MAKIII: More sophistication, higher end architectural, signage and light industrial.

This machine series has been tried and tested for years, and is specifically designed for fabricators with varied requirements in their forming departments.

With the Schröder MAK Series, like all other options, choice of controls is a personal, based on your production requirements. Each one of our line of controls is suited perfectly to the job at hand. In some cases, a simple manual data input system is perfect, other applications require the high-end sophistication of a 2D system.

The MAK’s POS400, POS 500 or POS2000 each offer you a unique combination of features and price that will produce a superior folding system for your business, whether is be roofing, HVAC, signage, architectural or light industrial parts.

Tell us what you do, how you do it, and we can recommend the exact control system for your shop floor.

Folding is famous for a wide variety of features that make it the most versatile method for producing precision parts all across both horizontal and vertical applications. One of those key features is the backgauge which holds the part so the operator doesn’t have to, while at the same time measuring that blank to exact, and repeatable tolerances.

The MAK Series offers you your choice of a series of gauging, from a manual front operated system, to NC controlled systems, all the way up to the Rectangular, L, J or U shapes, found on full featured models. Again, let’s build the exact folding system, at the exact price, for the exact applications you need. Nothing more, nothing less!

Schröder , as the world's leader in standard and specialty tooling, brings you that line of tooling choices on the MAK Series, with dozens of profiles available to develop a solution best suited to your part geometries, and to your manufacturing processes.

Like the selection of the size and gauge range, the control system, the backgauge option, you also have the advantage of selecting the kind and number of tools that will cover the gamut of your specific business arena. One set for roofing, another for HVAC, yet another for architectural, signage or light industrial applications.

Just as important as backgauges, controls and tooling is to folding precision parts, so is how those tools are mounted and how the part is clamped for the optimum results no matter what the application.

As with our other MAK options, there are numerous clamping options available that match up perfectly with your folding machine design and budget.

Schröder Multi Power Bend (MPB)

Have the need for speed?
Want a folder that flat out “runs parts” like a dragster, but “corners” like an Indy car?

Then you are going to want to test drive the Schröder Multi Power Bend (MPB)!

If you bend sheet metal, and thought that folders could not perform in long run production applications, then the MPB is about to change the way you produce parts and drive your business.

0 to 120 in ONE SECOND
The MPB was designed by SCHRÖDER engineers who have a love for speed, and were driven to create a folder that could produce long run part applications without sacrificing the precision and flexibility of the other top of the line SCHRÖDER folders. So, they designed and built a folding beam that moves at an astounding 120 degrees per second, and clamping jaws that move over 240 inches per minute. The result: the MPB will outpace any press brake on the market today. This folder is turbo-charged for high speed long production runs, but has the gauging, tooling and control capabilities that give you the complete package. Part dragster, part Indy car, all folder!

BUILT FOR SPEED AND PRECISION
Without the most sophisticated gauging in the world, achieving high speed and precision, is impossible. SCHRÖDER has built the MPB Series with the finest gauging available, including twin ball-screw drives, steel or nylon ball transfers, solid gauging rails, pop-up stops, and options that leave other folders and press brakes in the rear view mirror.

Four standard shapes, including rectangular, L-shape, J-shape and U-shape, with depths starting at 1000 mm (39”) and options up to 6 m (19’) are available. But, the MPB doesn’t stop there. In addition, our impressive array of gauging features put the ultimate in speed and precision in the hands of your operators. These include, but are not limited to, squaring arms, removable gauge panels for down forming, and a system of extra rigid support surface panels that make handling even the largest parts a pleasure to handle.
And, as with all SCHRÖDER folding systems, if you want something you don’t see here, let us know. With our ability to custom-design machines for application specific jobs, we can provide almost any gauge, to fit almost any application.

As the world's leader in standard and specialty tooling, SCHRÖDER has blended both the art and the science of the latest tool design and flexibility into the MPB. With dozens of standard shapes, and a virtual endless custom specialty design capability, the end result is a universal set of clamping beam, folding beam and lower beam tooling, with the geometric flexibility to cover all of your forming needs, especially while adjusting for unequaled speed.

If you know metal folding, you know that the combination of all three sets of tools, working in perfect harmony is what produces the long term production gains that folding brings to the production sequence, to get you over the finish line first.

But, like the fastest race cars in the world, the MPB has added a huge dose of extra horsepower with an innovative rotational clamping beam built into the system itself. Imagine being able to shift from one set of universal tools to another, on the fly! With the MPB, you’re in the driver’s seat! (See below for more detail)

The bottom line is that the MPB can either drastically reduce or completely eliminate your need for tool change, and when combined with the sheer lightning speed of the folding and clamping beams, you have the ultimate in long run, precision sheet metal folding. Think what that means to, well, your bottom line!.

If you are a speed and control enthusiast, chances are you are very picky about wanting the most sophisticated and technologically advanced control, with the utmost in speed, flexibility and productivity, yet with the operational ease of a high end race car.

Presenting the SCHRÖDER POS Control Series. Think of it as software with a V-10 engine! That’s right, how about ten axis control! This is where forming precision sheet metal parts in long run, high speed production meets its match…where the rubber meets the road.

Ten axis of precision are effortlessly positioned with the speed and accuracy even the most discerning of control enthusiasts will admire. On-line or off, 2D or 3D, there is no simpler method of programming a machine to produce a highly sophisticated end product, and then reproduce it to perfect accuracy every time you run it. Period.

How much would it be worth to you to have two separate sets of universal tooling available to you, with instantaneous rollover, 24/7? That’s a whopping 20 feet of precision tooling available in sharp nose, or radii, with the option of two different heights for different returns, at your fingertips.

It’s the Rotational Clamping Beam, just another in a long line of MPB’s secret weapons, that becomes your secret to incredible productivity gains, enormous expansion in your part geometry capabilities, and a value add that actually takes profit dollars to the finish line.

This world-class advantage in machine speed, flexibility and virtual elimination of set up time, positions your forming department to do something you never thought possible.
