CNC FRONT GAUGING
Forming parts with tapers or hard to gauge flanges is one many shops struggle with, on a wide array of blank materials. Add the ergonomic issues caused by thin plate, and you can face some forming challenges.

FASTI developed our unique CNC front gauging system specifically for applications where the advantages of folding were too significant to pass up; and that resulted in a phenomenal six (6) axis CNC control: X1, X2, Z1, Z2, R1 and R2 that quickly positions each to within thousands of an inch of your required bend.

The CNC front gauge, used in conjunction with the FASTI backgauge, means there is nothing that cannot be gauged and formed on the FASTI 216! Especially thin plate applications.

RUGGED GAUGING SYSTEMS
Gauging is one of the key elements contributing to quality output, especially in thin plate applications. Weak, flimsy gauging can bring a machine to its knees. FASTI has designed the finest, most rugged gauging in the industry, with twin ball-screw drives, steel or nylon ball transfers, solid gauging rails, pop-up stops, and many other options that guarantee consistent, accurate parts.

Four standard shapes are available, with depths starting at 1000 mm (39”) and options up to 6 m (19’). We even provide feed systems, which automatically feed the material through the forming operation.

MASSIVE OPEN HEIGHTS

The 225’s clamping beam, like the thick plate 216, is a dual, glass-scale, proportionally driven hydraulic ram system, which delivers tremendous force with unbelievable finesse and precision, also rivaling the best CNC press brakes available.

And, the 225 can be custom tailored to suit virtually any thin plate application.

TOOLING SYSTEMS
Thin plate applications are very demanding on tooling design. Try folding a piece of thin plate steel, and you will quickly understand the challenges you face if your tooling is not up to the task. Our hydraulic tool-clamp system has over 45 tons of clamping force; our bottom beam tools lock into position, and our folding beam tools securely grasp and form your parts to unparalleled accuracy.

With dozens of standard shapes to choose from, and custom designs our specialty, send us your prints; if we can't build a tool for it, it can't be formed on a folder. Period.
