ALMEGA AX SERIES AX-V4

HIGHLY VERSATILE ARC WELDING ROBOT
Introducing the most versatile robot
The AX-V4 was designed for customers who demand high quality welding while avoiding fixture interference due to bulky cables. With the coaxial cable built in to the upper arm, enjoy a wide range of welding versatility previously unattainable.
Constant Wire Feeding
Minimize the bending of the coaxial cable
The built-in OTC coaxial power cable helps keep constant wire feeding as well as improves welding quality.
Easy Maintenance
Easy to maintain and replace power cable
The structure of the upper arm allows for quick and easy replacement of the coaxial power cable.
Improved Access
Less interference between arm and fixture
Minimize the interference between the coaxial power cable and fixture for even the most complicated works.
BUILT IN CABLE ADVANTAGES & FEATURES
Coaxial Cable Design
The coaxial cable has been redesigned to fit on the side of the upper arm, thereby eliminating interference with work fixtures. This allows for better access to hard-to-reach places and improved wire feeding.
Instantaneous Arc Starts
By utilizing a capacitor-discharge method, instantaneous arc starts are possible, regardless of the base material.
Daihen Seamless Integration
Daihen’s AX Series robots and D Series welding power supplies offer seamless digital integration and advanced control capabilities. Various welding parameters can be set through the AX robot teach pendant for optimum welding conditions, such as pulse mode, initial current, and complete pulse wave form control.
Robotic Retract Start Control (Optional)
Daihen’s unique RS control works with standard 4-roll feeders and robot software and no longer requires an AC Servo Torch. This guarantees arc starts while reducing spatter. Available with the DP400 and DP500.
CONVENIENT WELDING FUNCTIONS
Pre-execution of arc start and end commands
High speed tack welding is now available via a function of the pre-execution arc start and end command. Cycle time for one welding bead is shortened by 0.2 seconds. Tack welding with good bead appearance is possible at high speeds.
Arc Monitor Function
Monitor weld current, voltage, wire feed status, etc. via the teach pendant. Also allows modification of weld conditions in real time.
Visual Input Teaching
The teach pendant illustrates various welding commands and parameters, designed to help the user visualize detailed welding instructions.
Optimized for AX-OT (Offline Teaching)
Power cable interference is no longer an issue for AX-OT software. This allows for easier adoption from the computer to the actual work piece.
